Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam UPD
School's out, and the Camp Rockers are headed back to their summer oasis for more music and fun. But an unexpected sight awaits them there: A rival group -- Camp Star -- has set up shop across the lake. Led by Camp Rock founder Brown Cesario's (Daniel Fathers) former bandmate Axel Turner (Daniel Kash), Camp Star takes a more cutthroat approach to fostering musical talent -- but its glitz and glam woo some defectors and threaten Camp Rock's existence. Mitchie (Demi Lovato) and Shane (Joe Jonas) had hoped that summer camp would give them a chance to deepen their relationship, but now it's up to them to pull together a performance that will save the camp itself.

Tweens will be thrilled to see their favorite stars back in this fun sequel, which, like the original, is filled with positive messages about loyalty, self-expression, and sticking to your values. Mitchie and Shane's relationship evolves slowly, culminating in one kiss, and Nate (Nick Jonas) dabbles in love with a rival rocker, but that's the extent of the "racy" content. Disney tradition dictates that the movie is devoid of anything truly iffy, so parents can feel safe in giving tweens the go-ahead.
Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam is a 2010 American musical television film. This is also the 81st Disney Channel Original Movie (DCOM). This is the sequel to Camp Rock. It was filmed in Toronto, Ontario and at camps near the city. The movie premiered on September 3, 2010 on Disney Channel in the United States, and Family Channel in Canada.
The movie opens when Mitchie Torres returns to Camp Rock to be reunited with all her campers ("Brand New Day"), especially Shane Gray. They both decide to spend the summer by knowing each other better. Shane and his bandmates, Jason and Nate arrives at camp in a chicken wagon after their bus had fallen into the lake.
When discussing the future of Camp Rock, Mitchie and her friends plan a showdown between the two camps at Final Jam ("It's On"). Camp Star agrees as Axel suggests they should challenge each other to Camp Wars, a showdown being broadcast live on TV. At first Mitchie is persistent and the other Camp Rock members are not that into it. But they learn that together they can win. Shane wants to go on a date with Mitchie but she is too focused on the Camp Wars to agree ("Wouldn't Change A Thing"). The next day Shane realizes Mitchie was right, so he, and the whole camp, put their heart and soul into it ("Heart and Soul").
Jason and the Junior stars are watching Tess and Luke perform during their rehearsal ("Walking In My Shoes"). Axel texts and tweets every mobile phone in the western hemisphere persuading people to vote for Camp Star. At the Final Jam, Tess and Luke perform their ("Tear It Down"). Although Camp Rock put their heart and soul into their performance with Shane and Mitchie singing lead vocals, the rest of the campers as dancers and musicians, and a video made by Trevor of their time together airing during the song ("What We Came Here For"). Camp Star wins presumably due to Axel's biased ad campaign, which leaves Mitchie and her friends devastated as it means that Camp Rock will now have to close down. Despite the loss, Camp Rock's performance earns great applause from the crowd and Tess is shown to feel bad about the win as she knows Camp Rock deserved it.
The remaining Camp Rock staff and campers return to Camp Rock. Whilst packing up banners, Mitchie and Shane share a kiss. Afterwards, all the campers and staff gather and sing around the campfire one last time together ("This Is Our Song"). As they enjoy themselves, many of Camp Star's campers including Tess and Dana show up having seen the bonfire and ask to join in. Tess and some other members of Camp Star request to go to Camp Rock the next summer because it is much more fun than Camp Star, meaning that Camp Rock will have enough campers to remain open for the next summer.
On July 27, long before they watch the sequel to the 2008 flick, fans can pick up the soundtrack, featuring 15 original songs that a press release promises will span genres from hip-hop to rock to pop.
The flick will not only have more summer lovin' between [article id="1626912"]real-life couple Lovato and Joe Jonas[/article] as Mitchie and Shane, but there will also be a little friendly rivalry between the Camp Rockers and a group of musicians at another summer camp, Camp Star, including a love interest for Nick Jonas, played by Chloe Bridges.
The JoBros promise the movie's music will be every bit as entertaining as its plot, which has been kept a secret since the movie was shot. "The songs are really cool," [article id="1637651"]Joe told MTV News[/article]. "[We shot] at so many different locations this time. The storyline is really great. They built a camp for the movie, and they blocked off a whole mile radius so that people couldn't really find out what the movie was about. It was a really fun experience, and everyone really kept it under wraps. The director was the one who kind of leaked pictures on his Facebook ... of all the people!"
Mitchie Torres (Demi Lovato) returns to Camp Rock, along with her friends and her boyfriend Shane Grey (Joe Jonas). On the way to Camp Rock, she and her mother Connie (María Canals Barrera) notice that a new camp, Camp Star, has opened across the lake. Mitchie and her friends also notice that there are fewer campers than last year, and attempt to lift everyone's spirits at Opening Jam ("Brand New Day"). Camp Star sends parachutes to Camp Rock with chocolates and marshmallows, inviting them to a bonfire at their camp, but Brown (Daniel Fathers) is less than enthusiastic, as Camp Star's director is Axel Turner (Daniel Kash), whom he once kicked out of his band.
Mitchie and the rest of the campers arrive at Camp Star, which seems to be much more flashy and sophisticated than Camp Rock. Axel asks for volunteers to start the bonfire, and Mitchie and her friends perform ("Different Summers"). Luke (Matthew Finley) from Camp Star then performs with several backup dancers ("Fire"). As the song ends, Dana Turner's (Chloe Bridges) bracelet flies from her hand and hits Nate (Nick Jonas) in the eye. Nate returns it after the bonfire and the two instantly feel a connection. Axel then offers the Camp Rock counselors jobs at Camp Star, doubling their salary, and encourages the Camp Rock campers to move to Camp Star. Very few campers switch, including Tess (Meaghan Martin), but many counselors move to Camp Star. Left with no staff, Brown decides to close Camp Rock, but Mitchie persuades everyone to not give up, and she and her friends take on the newly vacant counseling roles ("Can't Back Down").
Although things are tough at first, Mitchie and the rest of the counselors settle into their roles and become determined to save the camp. They revisit Camp Star, and the two camps face off ("It's On"). Axel sees the showdown and suggests a televised competition between the two camps; Mitchie is reluctant at first, but eventually agrees after some persuasion from her friends, realizing it could gain Camp Rock the publicity it needs to stay open. However, Brown is angry and tells Connie that he thinks that the competition is a trap in order for Axel to get back at him. Overhearing their conversation, Mitchie pours herself into making sure that they win the competition, which frustrates Shane, who has only returned to Camp Rock in order to spend more time with her ("Wouldn't Change a Thing").
The next day, Mitchie wakes up to find everyone rehearsing for the competition, thanks to Shane. He and his brothers motivate everyone to work harder ("Heart and Soul"). Mitchie and Shane then spend the day together ("You're My Favorite Song"), but Nate has trouble trying to tell Dana how he feels. He decides to sing instead and goes to Camp Star to serenade her ("Introducing Me"), gaining her affection, before being caught by Axel, who is her father. Later that night, Jason (Kevin Jonas) and the junior campers sneak into Camp Star, and spy on Luke and Tess performing ("Walkin' in My Shoes"). The day of the competition arrives, and Camp Star delivers a slick, stylish performance ("Tear It Down"); Brown finds out that Axel has been encouraging the public to vote for Camp Star through text messaging. All the members of Camp Rock then perform together, accompanied by a video montage of their summer ("What We Came Here For"), but Camp Star ends up winning the competition. Back at Camp Rock that evening, everyone gathers at the bonfire for one last jam, but as they sing, many members of Camp Star, including Tess and Dana, cross the lake to join Camp Rock, ensuring they have enough campers to continue for another summer ("This Is Our Song").

Shane to pursue last summer's crush on Mitchie with his band mates as moral support.
Newcomer Matthew "Mdot" Finley plays Luke Williams, the best performer at the rival camp. Luke challenges Camp Rock to a showdown that will prove which camp has the most talented performers.
