The Plot
The movie begins with Jagmohan Lal aka Jugran (Anupam Kher), a notorious smuggler who kills Customs Officer Verma (Dalip Tahil) and his twin brother Manmohan Lal, and takes his identity. He also kills Dr. Ashok Soni, who witnessed the murder. Verma's sons Ramesh and Ravi are separated from each other and sent to an orphanage, where they befriend Seema, Dr. Ashok's daughter. Seema is adopted by a kind couple while Ramesh runs away and is adopted by Girdharilal (Paresh Rawal), a master thief who teaches him how to crack safes. Ramesh changes his name to Romeo (Anil Kapoor) and becomes an expert safecracker.
Many years later, Jugran has become a powerful crime lord who lives a double life as Manmohan Lal, a respected businessman. He plans to pull off a Rs 100 crore robbery with the help of Romeo and Seema (Sridevi), who has also become a thief named Simmi. Seema meets Manmohan Lal and recognizes him as her father's killer. Jugran blackmails her into involving Romeo in the heist by promising to reveal the identity of her father's killer. Meanwhile, Ravi (Jackie Shroff) has become an inspector who is determined to catch Jugran.
Romeo and Seema meet again and realize that they are childhood sweethearts. They decide to work together to take revenge on Jugran. They also reunite with Ravi, who turns out to be Romeo's long-lost brother. After many twists and turns, they manage to foil Jugran's plan and expose his true identity. They also recover the loot and hand it over to the police.
